Beautiful spring day!

Ear Infection

Took Nathan to the clinic yesterday....he has an ear infection again!

Nathan still has a cough. Andrew is fine.

Yesterday I took Andrew to see Curious George. He sat in his seat and ate a bunch of popcorn then the movie started. He said it was too loud and wanted to sit on my lap. After 15 minutes he said he wanted to go home. I made him stay for about an hour and then we left. We missed probably 15 minutes of the movie.

Didn't do too much today. The kids are still fighting their colds. Nathan had a bit of a fever today, hardly ate and slept for most of the day. Andrew seems to be getting better but he had a 3 hour nap this afternoon, he must have needed it.

Andrew had fun at daycare yesterday. He brought his alphabet book and alphabet puzzle. He was so proud that Mrs. Ashley read his alphabet book to the class!

Andrew is watching Toy Story 2 right now. In Toy Story, there's a part where Buzz finally realizes that he's just a toy and he tries to fly. But he gets up into the air, then starts to fall. He ends up landing on the floor and one of his arms breaks off. Andrew bawls at this part every time! He's very sensitive. But he wants to watch this part over and over again and after a few times he's sobbing and can hardly speak! I try hard not to chuckle as I explain to him that it's just a movie and that Buzz is ok!

Both kids have a cough now...Nathan coughs more at night and Andrew coughs more during the day. Hopefully Andrew will be ok to go to daycare tomorrow. They have finished learning the alphabet so there will be an Alphabet party tomorrow (Alphabet cereal, Alphagetti, jello shaped like letters, etc).

Grammie's!

We went to visit Grammie and Grandpa today. It was a bit cold and windy out but that didn't stop the kids from playing outside for a little while. Andrew came home with a couple action figures...Doc Ock and another Batman. Grammie has a few action figures at her place which Andrew loves playing with (some old toys of cousin Michael).

Speeding!

Today didn't start off great...was on my way to grocery shopping and got a speeding ticket. I was doing 71 in a 50 zone...tsk tsk. Right at the spot where Bob always tells me "watch your speed!" Mr. Policeman was nice enough to knock it down a little so no points lost but ended up getting a $53.00 ticket. Lesson learned.

Took Nathan over to Anne's house for a bit today. Sue was there with Lauren. She is a cutie!

Andrew came home from daycare with lots of gel in his hair...the teachers are having a lot of fun with his new haircut! He went pee in the toilet at school 3 times today but he won't do it at home. Maybe because he sees all the other kids doing it.

We went to see my cousin Tracy and her husband Greg's new house today. Very nice place! Bob didn't come because he was on his way home from the hockey tournament. The kids loved Mochi the bunny rabbit. Poor Mochi, I'm sure he (or is it a she?) was happy when all the kids went home...maybe Tracy and Greg were too (especially after that exit)!

Mmmmmm.....Ice cream!

Bob is away at a hockey tournament this weekend. So far his team is doing pretty good. Mom stayed over last night to keep me company. This morning we went to the condo and I took Andrew for a ride on the RT and then we walked around the mall for a bit...shopped at a couple dollar stores. We came back home, made Andrew take a nap (is he ever cranky if he doesn't get a nap in!) and then Jody came over here for dinner.

Haircut!

Andrew got his haircut today....what a difference! Looks like he aged a couple of years (and got some attitude as well)!
Nathan had fun playing in the balls while Andrew was getting his new doo.

No Pull ups...

Well, Andrew wants nothing to do with his Pull Ups now. I've tried putting them on him but he just uses it like a regular diaper! Bribes don't even work. I'll just keep asking him and eventually he will be ready.

We went to the next door neighbours house this morning. It was a bit crazy....4 boys together under the age of 5. No one wants to share. Jamie and I would try to have a conversation but we kept getting interrupted because we'd have to break up a fight or someone had to have a time out. But it tired them all out, Andrew and Nathan are having a nice nap right now. The neighbours kids are probably napping too!

We might take Andrew to get a haircut tonight...his hair is getting out of control.

What happened to the beautiful weather we had on the weekend?!

Swimming!

Today we went to Grandma and Papa's condo and went swimming and hot tubbing! Nathan went into the pool and hot tub as well! He was a bit nervous at first because he hasn't taken swimming lessons like Andrew did so this was only his second time in a pool. Grandma went in the water as well and Papa watched all of us while on the treadmill. Andrew really enjoyed it...think we'll be doing that again soon!

Chester

It was a sad day...Chester's new owners came to pick him up yesterday. He was adopted through an agency. They are a very nice family from Port Colbourne. They have a Golden retriever and a cat..they have a large backyard and live very close to the beach. I think Chester will fit in well with the new family because he loves other dogs (not sure about the cat!) and loves the water!

They said that ever since Chester's picture was posted on the adoption website, they printed a picture of him right away and had it stuck to their computer. The guy opened up his wallet and showed us a picture of Chester he has been carrying around! They seem to love him already. I believe that Chester is in good hands and will get the love and attention that he needs. But we will miss him.

Not too much happened this week.
We finally got our Mazda this week but we have to take it back to get the spoiler put on. I'll post a picture of the new car once that's done.

Friday I took Nathan to meet a couple girlfriends for lunch at the Phoenix and Firken. He was pretty good through lunch, wanted to get out of the highchair a few times but was distracted by toys and food.

Friday night we had Uncle Kirk, Aunt Jackie, Steven, Grammie and Grandpa over for dinner to celebrate Uncle Kirk's birthday!

Weekend

First of all, we'd like to say Congratulations to Gary and Jackie!! Had a funny feeling this was coming! That's great news...the boys are looking forward to having another cousin to play with.

Weekend was good. Saturday night we had my friends come over to celebrate Anne and Steve's upcoming baby! Anne is due on March 26th...she looks and feels great right now. Sue and Drew came over with Lauren who is now 6 weeks old. Andrew would not leave the baby alone! He loved her!

Sunday was a beautiful day so we were outside most of the time.

Andrew had fun finger painting today!

Today wasn't a great day with the Pull ups....we switched to regular diapers halfway through the day. Oh well.
