Yesterday we all went for a visit to mom and dad's place! They are really enjoying it there, and I can see why! It feels like they are living at a hotel right now...it hasn't really sunk in yet that this is where they live.

Today we went to Andrew's favourite store...Home Depot. He goes crazy in that place! He almost tipped over a couple of the snow blowers....almost knocked over a few people trying to GET to the snow blowers!
Then we came home and put up our Christmas tree....first year that we are going the artificial route. Nathan has taken off a few ornaments so far but for the most part he doesn't bother with the tree.

Poo poo...

I took the day off work yesterday to help mom and dad unpack. Around noon, I get a call from the daycare telling me that Andrew had a loose BM and that I need to pick him up! They did this to me last week as well and it turned out Andrew was fine! But I guess with the stomach flu going around, they want to be extra careful. I bring Andrew home, and he's fine. No fever, no diarrhea, he's eating normally....
The daycare tells me that he is not to come back on Friday. He has to be away from the daycare for at least 24 hours. I said "he's fine! He just happened to have a runny poop...maybe it was something he ate, maybe he's having an off day!" They said No. They have strict rules right now and everyone has to abide by them because this is flu season.

Oh well...what can you do. So I took Andrew over to Grandma and Papa's for a visit. He loves it there! We took him for a ride on the RT and then went over to the mall for lunch. He enjoyed going up and down the elevators and going with Papa to dump off the garbage. He had a great day (and he had a normal BM!).

Moving day!

Today was the day of the big move! The one we've been waiting for for over 3 years, Grandma and Papa moved into their new condo! I took the kids over there after dinner for a quick visit. It's a really nice place! It has a nice layout and you get a great view of the city. I think they will be very happy there. And it's perfect timing too because we're expecting our first snowfall and dad won't have to worry about shovelling his driveway anymore!

Accident report

Today I had to sign an accident report for Nathan. He fell down and had a red mark on his face. Nothing major. I've had to sign a few of these accident reports since he started walking! One wasn't his fault though....one of the other kids bit him on the arm!

Andrew has his appetite back. He had a good day at daycare. This week they are learning the letter L. He told me they learned about "lambs" today.

Skating!

Tonight Andrew went skating for the first time! Our friends had the ice for an hour so we thought this would be a good chance for Andrew to try out his skates! We think he did pretty good for his first time. A couple of little spills but he's got to get used to that! His favourite part was getting to sit on the Zamboni!

Today we cleaned out the garage and put up the christmas lights! Took a chance with the kids and went out for lunch...surprisingly, they were both really good at the restaurant! Andrew still isn't eating that much but his appetite seems to be increasing a little bit. He took a 3 hour nap this afternoon!

Look at Nathan walking now! He would have walked even further if I wasn't in his way!

TGIF!

Got a phone call from the daycare centre around 2:30 this afternoon. Andrew had a runny poop and they are being extra cautious because the stomach flu is going around that daycare centre like crazy right now! I left work early and brought him home...he's been fine ever since but you never know. He hasn't been eating much at all this week.

Check up

Today Nathan had his one year checkup (and two needles!). He weighs almost 24 pounds. I think he is going to catch up to Andrew very soon!
We had dinner at Grandma and Papa's house....this could be the last visit at the house before the big move!

Sick

I'm at home sick today....got some kind of stomach flu. Was up being sick half the night! Andrew is still coughing but he's getting better. Nathan now has a runny nose. He just got over a cold! They are both at daycare today....hopefully I will get a good nap in before they get home.

Grammie's

I took Andrew back to the clinic today because his coughing was really bad last night and this morning. He now has a steroid inhaler so we are hoping this will ease the coughing...which I believe it has but we'll have to see how he does through the night.

This afternoon we went to visit Auntie Joan and to see the new puppies! They have 5 puppies that are only a couple weeks old (mix between Newfoundlander and Bernese Mountain dog) They are really cute. Andrew thought they were interesting...he said that they were "little" and that they "went pee". After that we went to Grammie (he's been saying Grammie now and not Nanny) and Grandpa's for dinner! It was really good!

Nathan has been taking a few steps on his own now!! Check it out....

No daycare today....

Andrew stayed home from daycare today....I took him to the doctor last night and it turns out he has pink eye. His eyes look fine today but he is coughing alot. Nathan went to daycare....hopefully he won't catch it!

Got my severance package last week. My last day of work is January 31st! I'll be taking some time off to spend with the kids. They are growing so quickly and I may not get this opportunity again!

Baby shower!

We took Andrew to swimming lessons this morning....he loved it! I always ask him "who do you want to go swimming with...mommy or daddy?" He always says "Daddy!" That's fine with me!

Then we had my friends over for dinner. It was a baby shower/get together for our friends Sue and Drew who are expecting in January! We are all very excited for them!

Toot Toot Cha-Ching Cha-Ching!

Today I picked up the kids after lunch and Andrew and I went to the Wiggles concert! He enjoyed it...he danced and sang to a few of the songs! We left a bit early though because Andrew started to say "home now". He liked the drive downtown...liked the DVP because of all the turns and going under the bridges, and also enjoyed watching the elevator going up and down the CN Tower!

Nathan stayed with Grandma and Papa. Andrew and I were gone for about 3 hours and Nathan napped for about 2 hours and 15 minutes! Nice easy babysitting job for them!
He actually took a couple of steps and walked to Papa today! Maybe by Christmas he'll be running around?

(by the way, that little Wiggle's stick that Andrew's holding cost me 20 bucks! What a rip off. These guys make a fortune!)
