Yesterday our friends came over for dinner to celebrate Sue's 40th Birthday! We ordered in Indian food which was very good (spicy!) and then played euchre for a couple of hours. We had our 12 year old neighbour come over and help with the kids...she was great!

Today we went to the zoo. It was a "zoo day" sponsored by one of the mutual fund companies. We didn't have to pay for anything which was great. Lunch was also included. We did alot of walking....That zoo is so big! The boys had alot of fun, they loved riding the camel.

Dirty Dancing

Last night my boss took his 3 admin girls to Benihana for dinner, then to see Dirty Dancing. Benihana was excellent. Food was great!
I have to give Dirty Dancing a 6.5 out of 10. I don't know....I just thought the second half was really slow. Hardly any music, just alot of dialogue. They tried to follow the movie which was fine, but they could have added more singing and dancing.

Weekend

Saturday we went to Ikea and bought Nathan a new bed. The same one that Andrew has. So now that they are sleeping in the same room, they will match. Also picked up a couple of dome chairs for the upstairs t.v/playroom.
Then grandma and papa came over to watch the kids for a few hours while Bob and I went out for dinner. We celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary! We went to a restaurant called Sagano and had really good Japanese food. First time Bob had raw fish...he liked it.

Sunday we went to Mississauga to visit my friend Jody's new house, then came home and Andrew had soccer. He played really well tonight...probably his best game so far. He had fun with the team and listened to the coach!

Haircut

Nathan got a nice summer haircut!

Darien Lake

We spent a couple days at Darien Lake. We went with our neighbours. It was alot of fun! The kids enjoyed the rides and games and the adults enjoyed just hanging out together. Line ups were short (except to get french fries!). We rented RVs which were actually quite nice and we were situated right by the park gates so it was a short one minute walk to get into the park. There were thunderstorms both nights but during the day it was perfect!

Selena's Birthday

Selena celebrated her 8th birthday with family and friends! Selena has alot of friends which is nice to see. It was a fun day...glad the kids enjoyed the jumping castle! And Andrew loves his Bakugans!

Andrew won this Lego toy at the daycare Funfair this afternoon. It didn't come all put together like this....he did it himself by following the instructions!

I hate it when Bob does some "impulse" shopping. Sees a great deal and can't resist!

Summer!

It's been a busy weekend so far! Friday night and Saturday, the kids were swimming at the neighbour's pool. This morning we went down by the lake and had a nice walk. This afternoon, the kids were all outside washing cars and having water gun fights! We set up our little kiddie pool which is getting small for them but they still enjoy it. Then after we had dinner at the neighbours house, we all walked up the street to the local jazz festival...it was packed! Busy day, hoping that the kids will sleep in tomorrow (I doubt it).
