This morning we went to Marty's in law's farm. Andrew and Nathan took turns sitting on the big John Deere tractor! Then we picked some raspberries. It was really hot though so I picked them as fast as I could while Nathan cooled off in the car...then Andrew ate them all by the time we got home.
Then this afternoon we went to Auntie Mikiko's one year memorial service and out for dinner afterwards. I told Andrew before we got there that he has to be really, really quiet..he says "I don't like to be quiet". Ya, no kidding.
Anyway, we're off to the cottage tomorrow so no posts until next weekend.

Work!
I will be going back to work the week of Sept 11th! I will be working for a Financial advisor 3 days a week to start, then will go full time once RSP season hits. Everything is worked out with the daycare. Looking forward to getting back to work...plus I still get a couple days at home with the kids.

Weekend...

We had a good weekend. Yesterday Andrew and Bob got their haircut..then we did a bit of shopping. Last night we went to a friend's house for a bbq. He put in a really nice fish pond in his front yard...the kids loved watching the koi.
Then today we went to the Peterborough zoo. It's just the right size zoo for Andrew and Nathan. There's a small splash park there and also a nice playground. They really enjoyed it.

Today we went swimming and hot tubbing again at Uncle Kirk's in law's (Jim and Kay). It was the perfect day to spend by a swimming pool! No fear Nathan decides to walk off the edge of the pool right into the water. Good thing Bob was right there to rescue him. He cried for a bit but then wanted to go right back in! Andrew didn't have a nap this afternoon so he fell asleep on the couch at 6:30...I couldn't wake him up so I changed him into his pajamas and put him to bed at 8:00. I have no idea how long he'll sleep...hopefully until the morning.

Island fun!

Today the whole family (and Uncle Louis...who pretty much is part of the family) enjoyed a day at Centre Island. I didn't have a great sleep because Andrew got up 3 times during the night because he was so excited about today (next time we go somewhere I won't tell him till the morning!). It was a great day! The kids started getting really tired around 2:00 and they both slept on the ferry ride back.

Hot day!

Today we played in the sprinkler. Nathan has no fear about playing in the cold water...Andrew is a little more hesitant about it.
Then tonight we had my friend Tracy (who I know from work) and her two kids came over for dinner. We ate, then played outside. Tracy's two kids go to the same daycare as Andrew and they know our neighbour's two kids from the daycare as well...so all of them had fun playing tonight!

Yesterday we went to Aunt Jackie's parents house for a bbq. They have a nice swimming pool and hot tub. Nathan loved the hot tub...didn't like it at first but then didn't want to get out! The three boys were funny...they were like a little train...Andrew would follow Steven everywhere and do what he did, then Nathan would follow Andrew everywhere and do what HE did!

Yesterday I went to Jody's baby shower. It was fun...great to hang out with all my girlfriends for an afternoon. Jody looks really good! Uncle Gary, Grandma and Papa watched Nathan while I was out. Then Bob and Andrew met me there after the shower.
Andrew had a great weekend with daddy! After they left the trailer, they went to visit Uncle Cam's cottage. Andrew's allergies were bad though...I think he's inherited my hayfever symptoms. Poor guy.

Andrew and Bob went to the trailer this morning. He was excited to go even though I wasn't going! Bob says Andrew is having a great time...he went fishing, swimming twice and flew his kite. They are staying overnight.
It's so easy with just the one here at home, so peaceful...no screaming and fighting.

Nathan LOVES looking at tractors on the computer...and Andrew is getting really good at playing games by himself!
Yesterday went back to grandma's for another swim. Andrew just can't get enough of swimming. Then last night I went out with a friend for dinner. The kids both cried when I left but not for long.
There is a costume party today at daycare...Andrew was excited about bringing his Batman costume to school.

We got Andrew's report card on Friday. They say he is doing really well. They are going to work on sense of time and also printing and drawing skills.
Summer camp starts today at daycare. Each day they have different events and activities...today they have Lenny Graff (singer from Treehouse) at the daycare. Friday is costume day. I'm sure Andrew will have fun.

Today was another busy day...we went down to the waterfront this morning. Came home and let Nathan have his nap then went over to Grandma and Papa's. The kids played in the wading pool for a bit, then we went for a swim in Grandma's pool. Andrew was so tired by the end of it all, he passed out on the couch for a short nap!

Today we went to Caleb's 2nd birthday party. It was so hot out today but Marty's backyard had lots of shade so it wasn't too bad.
Got a car wash today...Andrew loves going through the car wash! He hurt his foot because he jumped up when Bob asked "do you want to go get a car wash?" Everytime the soap or water would go by Nathan's window, he would say "EEWWWW".

Happy Canada Day!

Today we spent the afternoon at our neighbour's swimming pool. Then around dinner time, the pylons were placed on the street so the kids could ride their bikes, run around and then have a soccer game. A couple people brought their barbeques out and everyone bbq'd their own food and made salads. The rain delayed part of the festivities but not much! At least when the fireworks started, there was no wind or rain. Everyone pitched in $20 for fireworks so there was a pretty good show! Andrew fell asleep halfway through. Nathan went to bed his usual time...they did the fireworks in front of the house so we just brought the monitor out. I'm surprised he was able to sleep through the whole thing!
