Andrew is on antibiotics now. It's cherry flavoured...he actually likes it so we haven't had to wrestle him this time. His cough is almost gone.

Nathan always wants to get a hold of the camera!









Andrew and Nathan both missed daycare yesterday (and I missed work)....they both have colds. I took them to the doctor. We had a chest xray done on Andrew and it shows a bit of pneumonia in his left lung (last time it was in his right lung). The doctor said it is mild and will leave it up to us to decide if we want to treat it with antibiotics or not. I think we will leave it for now. The coughing is much better today. Nathan's ears are still a bit red...not quite infected but there is a bit of fluid in his right ear. We have been referred to an ear specialist to discuss getting tubes.

Steven gave the kids some Spiderman chairs that he didn't want anymore...looks like they are enjoying it!

Party!

Yesterday we celebrated Nathan's birthday. Nathan loves all the gifts that he got (he'll get used to the hat). Even the big kids enjoyed the toys. Thanks to everyone for making it such a fun day!

Happy Birthday Nathan!

Today was Nathan's 2nd birthday! Grandma and Papa came over this afternoon. Nathan loves to grab Papa's hand and drag him over to the toys. We bought him one of those tents with the joining tunnel...he really likes it. So does Andrew. I don't think Nathan realizes that it's his birthday although Papa caught him singing Happy Birthday! The real celebration will be on Saturday! Thanks for the birthday wishes!

Haircut

Nathan got his first real haircut tonight. He was so good! I couldn't believe it. He just sat there and watched himself in the mirror. No more home haircuts.

Nathan has slept in his bed the past few nights! It is going really well. We won't get rid of the crib just yet though...he still likes napping in it.

And Andrew has been sleeping in pull ups at night rather than a diaper (Grammie didn't give him a choice on Saturday night and he's been sticking to it!). He's been waking me up during the night and telling me that he has to go to the bathroom, which is good. Wow, the boys are growing up!

Night out!

Last night Bob and I went out with our friends Michelle and Rob. We went to a nice Thai restaurant for dinner, then to the Leaf game. Good game...Glad that the Leafs won! After the game we went to a pub and then stayed downtown for the night. Grammie and Grandpa stayed here overnight and watched the kids for us. Andrew was fine but Nathan cries for mommy! Then when Grammie and Grandpa were leaving, Nathan was crying "No Grammie, No Grandpa!" He didn't want them to go home so he laid on the floor and cried for awhile.

This afternoon we played outside for a long time. It was a bit cool but the kids don't seem to mind. Maddy and her friend Ashley were here all afternoon playing with Andrew and Nathan.

We took Nathan back to the clinic on Thursday night. He was really cranky all day, just wasn't his happy self. His ear infection hasn't cleared up yet so now he's on a different antibiotic. The doctor thinks that we should see an ear specialist and talk about getting the tubes.

Dentist

Andrew had his 6 month checkup at the dentist today. He was great the entire time. Of course the "Batman" toothpaste and the "Spiderman" dental floss helped to make the visit a little more fun for him! He even told the hygienist that he wanted to come back tomorrow! No cavities but they said he has to stop sucking his thumb. Easier said than done.

Busy day!

Went for a nice bike ride this morning.

Nathan got a bed from one of the neighbours so we set it up. We also switched his room and the spare room since his room was really cool at night.
The kids in the neighbourhood were happy to see Mr. Pumpkinhead today!

Mama's birthday party!

Today we celebrated Mama's 89th birthday at Uncle Gary and Aunt Jackie's house. Mama looks great! There was so much food and so many desserts...I won't have to cook tomorrow! Like yesterday, Andrew loved the bread and desserts. Nathan really enjoyed the Tiramisu birthday cake!

Thanksgiving dinner..

Yesterday we had Thanksgiving dinner at Grammie and Grandpa's. It was delicious! Andrew filled himself up with bread and pumpkin pie. All the cousins were there... the boys had a great time with them. And as always, lots of tractor rides.

Weekend...

Bob was busy again putting Ceramic tiles in the bathrooms. The kid's bathroom is done now...looks great! He is now almost finished our bathroom.

Yesterday we had our friends Donna and Marty over for dinner. Marty brought some Jambalaya that he made and we also had steaks. It was delicious!

Today we took Nathan to the clinic...he's had a cold for awhile and he hasn't been sleeping great the past two nights. Turns out he has an ear infection and also an eye infection. He's on antibiotics now. He has no problem taking his medicine.
