Boxing Day was busy. Aunt Joan, Uncle Mike, Rachelle, Jalila and Mike came over in the afternoon. As well as Uncle Kirk and the gang. Then later in the afternoon we had friends and neighbours come over for a visit. It was fun. I had to work Thursday and Friday though. Now we are getting prepared for our New Years Eve get together. A few of the neighbours are going to come over to celebrate. This holiday stuff is exhausting! The kids are loving it though!
Andrew was so excited about today! I thought for sure he would wake us up early this morning but he let us sleep until close to 7:00. Not bad. They opened their presents right away, then went downstairs to open presents from Grammie and Grandpa. The kids loved everything that they got! We had dinner at Uncle Mike and Aunt Sheryl's...it was delicious! Busy day. It'll be another busy day tomorrow...we're having an open house.

This afternoon we had lots of people over for a visit...Uncle Kirk, Aunt Jackie, Cheryl, Steven, Uncle Mike, Aunt Laura and Justice. It was like a preview to Christmas day. The kids got to open Christmas gifts already! Andrew was so excited. He couldn't wait to get to the presents! Christmas morning should be alot of fun! I'm trying to get a nice Christmas picture of the boys but every time they get close to each other, they start pushing and shoving. They make silly faces...can't get a nice normal smile out of them. I'll keep trying.

We went to Grandma and Papa's for a visit on Saturday. As soon as Andrew woke up in the morning he said "I want to go to Grandma's house!" It's been awhile since we've been over for a visit. We had lunch there, then came home for about an hour, then went to Port Perry to visit some friends. We got a ride up with our friends Donna, Caleb and Mackenzie. Nathan loved the DVD in the mini van even though Dora was on. Bob and Marty played hockey in the afternoon at the General Motors Centre so we met the guys at the party.

Not sure if the Vicks thing worked. Andrew was still up a couple of times coughing...he did manage to get 5 hours of straight sleep through, which surprised me. So maybe it did help a little?
The kids are feeling alot better now. Andrew still has a cough but not nearly as bad as it was. No more fevers.
Got home from Vegas this morning. Surprisingly, we landed 15 minutes ahead of schedule! That was some storm we missed over the weekend! When we landed, I thought Valet Parking probably would have been a good idea. We were parked in the economy lot..good thing Bob put snow tires on his car last week. No problems!
Vegas was fun. A bit cool though...temperature was only around 9 or 10 during the day and then dropped down to about 2 degrees at night. We didn't lose as much money as expected which is a bonus! We rented a car so we drove to a couple of outlet malls (got some good deals), visited Hoover Dam and Freemont street. The kids were home with Grammie and Grandpa and were coughing and had fevers almost the entire time we were away. I took Andrew to a clinic today and the doctor said his lungs are clear. No antibiotics. His fever came back though. Nathan felt like his fever was coming back tonight too. Hoping they will start feeling better soon! I'm trying the Vicks on the Feet trick..will let you know if it worked or not.

The boys got haircuts the other night!
Bob and I are off to Vegas till Monday morning. Looking forward to it!
We went to the IBM Holiday party yesterday. It was alright. Then went to McDonalds for lunch. Dinner was at the Firkin, then over to my friend Anne and Steve's for a bit.
Sunday went to the video store so Nathan could rent a couple of Thomas the Train DVDs, then did some arts and crafts in the afternoon. Not an overly exciting weekend but kept the kids busy!
