Another hot one!

Hot one!

Wow, today was hot!
Bought a new sprinkler for the kids...Nathan liked it, Andrew was afraid of it. Then after dinner we went to the park with Maddy (10 year old girl a couple doors over...she's a big help, loves to play with the kids which helps me out alot) and on the way there we see a kiddie pool and a brand new toddler bike seat for sale on one of the neighbours lawns. Ended up getting both of them. Of course we had to fill the pool right away! No fear Nathan jumps in immediately...water was freezing!

Trailer

We went up to the trailer yesterday. The kids had alot of fun. Andrew loved going out in the boat and fishing! The mosquitos were bad though...poor Andrew's ear and arm is swollen from bites. We stayed overnight (to everyone's surprise because they all know how much I love the trailer...and bugs) and came home this afternoon.

Bob's not too happy with what I did to Nathan's hair. Ah, it'll grow back in no time!

Tonight I went out for dinner with a few friends. Andrew was really good while I was out. No crying...but we kind of made a deal with him. We said that if he doesn't cry when I go out and he's a good boy, we'll take him to Grammie's trailer tomorrow. Deal or no deal? It was a deal.

Andrew is really coming along well with the potty training! He does number 2 in the toilet now, no problem. He had an accident at school today though...he told me that he drank too much juice and he did pee pee when he was having a nap.

Oh man, I butchered the back of Nathan's hair today. I used the shaver on him and he moved so he ended up with a big bald spot. So to even it out, I had to cut more. Oh well. It'll grow back.

First trip to Emergency....kind of

Last night Andrew slipped in the tub and got a cut on his chin. It didn't bleed too much but it was a pretty deep gash. I took him to the hospital and they said it was about a 6 hour wait! We waited about an hour but that was all Andrew could take. He was restless and kept saying he wanted to go home. I tried to get him to sleep on my lap but there was no way. So we left and we put steri-strips on his cut. This morning he got up and the steri-strips were off. Went to a clinic this morning and they said he needed stitches but didn't think the hospital would do it now because it had already started to heal. So off to a different hospital...waited about an hour and a half. Doctor said what we figured...it was too late to stitch. Stitches would have helped with the healing process but he said just put Polysporin and a bandaid on it and it should be fine.

Other than that we had a good day yesterday. We went over to play with Selena and Mya in the afternoon. They had fun at the park. Andrew fell asleep on the way home...he was exhausted!

Today we went to visit Aunt Laura and Uncle Mike. Andrew asks me "will there be toys there?" Well, there was alot of toys! Justice had a storage bin full of action figures...Batman, Spiderman, Ninja Turtles etc. Andrew was going crazy! Then they had a pool table, hockey game and a pinball machine in the basement which the kids had fun with. In Justice's bedroom Andrew immediately spots a Hot Wheels Batman race track that hadn't even been opened yet...he said Andrew could have it. He was pretty excited!

Back to Reality....that's for sure

No plans for the weekend....
Today Bob started to paint the kid's bathroom. This afternoon we went to visit mama. She looks good! I'm sure she's happy to be home for the weekend. Andrew had fun there. No nap today for Andrew so he had a meltdown this evening. We always know that's going to happen when he misses his nap.

We're back!

We got back from Florida today (as you can see, most of the pictures we took were for Andrew). It was a great trip...weather was perfect! We went to Universal Studios, Wet N Wild, and did some shopping at the outlet mall. Thanks to the grandparents for watching the kids for us! We are relaxed, refreshed and ready to get back to reality.

Rainy day....have to be creative.

I'm packed and ready to go! My flight is at 7:00 on Friday morning so I'll be leaving the house early. Which could be a good thing...Andrew won't see me actually leave. We'll see.

Andrew went to daycare today so Nathan and I did some last minute shopping before I leave on Friday morning. I have been telling Andrew that I have to go get daddy soon...sometimes he's fine with it, sometimes he says "no, don't go!" He says that he will cry when I am gone.

Nathan had some crazy bed head after his nap today!

Bob is in Florida now. He must be having fun...they had a golf game booked for this afternoon. He just called to say goodnight to Andrew. Yes, he is having fun. They just finished golfing and it was 90 degrees, sunny and breezy today.

Nathan loves the new toys that we got from our neighbours!
Bob worked hard today building a little retaining wall around our tree.
Andrew had a half hour nap on the lazy boy today while Nathan was business as usual.

Last night we went to play cards at the neighbour's house. It was fun..there were 16 of us and it was a euchre tournament. I hate playing cards but I had a great time. We got to meet more people from the neighbourhood.
Cheryl and Uncle Kirk came over to watch the kids. Andrew cried a bit when it was time to go to bed. We were only 4 doors down so Bob came home to check on the kids and I came home as well.

Bob and Andrew are at their favorite store right now...The Depot! We're going to do a bit of gardening today.

Bob leaves for Florida tomorrow. I'm flying out to meet him on Friday. We went to the mall yesterday to buy some new luggage...that was torture. Nathan hates the stroller now and Andrew was just plain cranky! It was another one of those moments...carry the screaming kid (or kids) out to the car as quickly as possible.

Happy 70th Grandpa!

Last night we took Grammie, Grandpa, Grandma and Papa to the Mandarin for dinner. It was a bit busy with the kids...but we all managed to get eat a ton of food.

I love the tulips in our garden! The previous owner of this house did a great job at landscaping.

Riding

Tonight we went for a nice bike ride! Stopped off at an ice cream shoppe here in the Village. I like going there...it reminds me of one of those old fashioned ice cream parlors that you don't see around too much anymore. Even if I don't feel like having ice cream, I get one anyway.
