Mya's Birthday Party!

Today we celebrated Mya's 5th Birthday! The weather was nice so we brought over the jumping castle (we've patched up the hole for now and it seems to be holding together ok). Everyone had fun and the food was delicious as usual!

Yesterday we went to the park by the lake. Andrew wanted to ride his bike down there. Then we stopped into Uncle Kirk's house because Bob wanted to show us the RV that he travelled in last weekend. It's huge! After that we went out for lunch, then came home and went for a long bike ride around the neighbourhood. Andrew rode along with us and Nathan sat in the bike seat on Bob's bike. Then for dinner, we went over to our friends Cam and Allison's house for a bbq. We had no plans at all for the day but it turned out to be very busy!

So Bob finally made it home from Michigan late Tuesday night! He was there for the Nascar race and on their way home on Monday, the RV broke down near Detroit. So they waited for a day...RV still not fixed. Bob, his brother and nephew managed to get to Sarnia on Tuesday and from there they took the train home. A longer trip than expected but what can you do. He had a good time while he was there though!

We spent the weekend with Grandma and Papa. On Sunday Andrew said he was getting bored with me...he was really happy when Bob came home!

New Shutters!

Got new shutters installed this week. After 4 years of living in this house, we finally decided on what we wanted for window coverings! Not an easy decision.
Bob also painted the kitchen a couple of weeks ago. That was a big job...he finished it in a couple of days and it looks great!

Last night my boss took his 3 admin staff out for dinner then to see We Will Rock You. The storyline of the show is really cheesy but the music was great! I enjoyed this show more than Dirty Dancing.

Bob is in Michigan right now to see the Nascar Race on Sunday. Mom is here helping me out with the kids!

This Saturday we had our friends over for a bbq. It rained most of the day but that was ok...what can you do. The weather is terrible most days this summer! We managed to get the jumping castle going in between downpours, and afterwards the hot tub was a big hit. I hardly took any pictures...too busy I guess.

Two Wheeler

Andrew learned how to ride his bike tonight! He's only tried to ride it a few times and he's always very nervous. After dinner he said "I want to try to ride my bike". And pretty much after the first try, he was off on his own! I guess once they're ready to learn, they're really ready.

Nathan did a faceplant on the sidewalk last night. He scraped his cheek and bit his tongue. He cried for a bit but continued to play outside.

Grandma and Papa

Today I took the boys to Grandma and Papa's for a visit. It was a nice day! They had fun at the wading pool and then going for a walk through the forest. Nathan had a nice nap on the couch when we got back to the condo.

Avery's Birthday

We stopped in at Jody's mom's house on our way back from the cottage yesterday afternoon to celebrate Avery's 2nd birthday.

Cottage Week

Got back from the cottage Saturday night. It was a good week. We went with our neighbours so the kids entertained themselves alot of the time, which was nice. The weather wasn't great...it was more cloudy than sunny. But the kids had alot of fun playing in the sand and in the water. The cottage was 2200 square feet, 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms, a couple of pull out couches, a couple of DVD players, ping pong table. There was lots of space for all of us.
