Today we went to see Disney On Ice. It was a really good show. We had great seats...3rd row floors. We were worried about Andrew having the patience to sit through it but he loved it! It was 2 hours long with a 15 minute intermission. When the show was over, he wanted to see another one!

Nathan loves to sit on the toilet...he's done Number 2 on the toilet once (I think it was just luck). Hopefully he'll be toilet trained alot quicker than Andrew was.

Boxing day was busy. We had our open house and about 25 people came over. It was nice to see friends that we don't get to see that often. Tonight we had our next door neighbours over. They have two boys as well and the youngest boy is a huge "Cars" fan like Nathan. So they spent alot of time playing with the Cars and watching the movie.

What a busy past few days....
Friday night we went downtown with friends for dinner. Saturday night Bob went out with some of his hockey team. Sunday we had our friends Donna and Marty come over for a visit, then went to Port Perry in the afternoon to visit Uncle Mike and Aunt Laura, then went to an open house in the evening.
Today was the big Christmas dinner at our place. It was a lot of fun! I couldn't have pulled it off without the help of Grandma and Grammie. The kids got lots of good stuff which hopefully will keep them busy for more than a day.
Tomorrow we're having an open house in the afternoon!

Yesterday was the daycare Christmas concert. Andrew was great...his class came out and he spotted us right away and waved! He knew all the words and the actions to the songs. Nathan's class came out and he looked like he was going to cry. I guess it's a bit scary with all those strangers staring at you! He sat there and didn't sing a word...at home though he'll belt out "Frosty the Snowman" with no problem. I went in closer to get a picture and he spotted me. That was it...he came running over crying "MOMMY!!" He wouldn't stop crying and wouldn't go back to his classmates. I had to carry him out screaming. Oh well, maybe next year.

Weekend...

Busy weekend again...Friday night I went out with my boss and the two girls I work with. We went out for a nice steak dinner. Then Saturday night we went to our friends Barb and Randy's house for their annual Christmas dinner. Grandma and Papa came over to babysit and Uncle Gary and Aunt Jackie and the kids came over as well to help keep Andrew and Nathan company! Andrew gets so excited when he's with Selena...it's hard to get him to calm down! Bob thought Selena was going to clobber him at some point but she tolerates him well.
Today we played outside for awhile. The weather right now is great! Wish it was like this through the whole winter.

We went to Grandma and Papa's yesterday. Andrew was pretty good on his skates. He fell down a few times and got a bit discouraged because "no one else falls down". He starts skating lessons next month so I'm sure he'll get the hang of it. He says he enjoys it though which is good. Nathan's first time out on skates was pretty funny...he could hardly wait to get onto the ice! He gets out there and away he goes. He actually had pretty good balance. That's Nathan for you...no fear.

We would like to wish Uncle Gary a very HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!
(Andrew hopes that you get some Batman toys).

Today we went to Bob's work Holiday party. It was ok...lots of people. I was worried I was going to lose Andrew or Nathan! They had craft tables set up for the kids but the boys weren't too interested in them. They liked seeing the Raptors mascot!
Tonight Bob is out with the boys....curling and poker.

Today the girls came over for lunch. We celebrated Jody's birthday and also celebrated Sue's return to work on Monday!! Sue is pregnant and due in May so she has to go back to work a bit early to make sure she gets those hours in for her mat leave!

Weekend...

Weekend was good...not too much excitement.
Friday night my friend Tracy from work came over for dinner with her two kids. Andrew and Nathan know them from daycare.
Saturday I got my hair cut and highlighted. Didn't like it because it was too dramatic so went back today and got it toned down. Much better. Nathan got a haircut today. It's shaved at the back...looks nice but I'm taking him back to get more cut off the top and bangs. I think he'll look good with a brush cut look.
Went to Casey's for dinner today...kids were good. Made a gingerbread train. That's about it!
