We played outside tonight until 7:30...it really cools down at night now! Came inside and Maddy helped me give Nathan a bath.

Andrew has a bit of a cough now. Hoping it doesn't get any worse.

I took Nathan to the mall today so I could buy some work clothes but of course he didn't want to shop. I saw a few nice things but I'll have to go back....by myself!
I'm going into work next Wednesday, just for the one day. Then the week after is when I will officially start. I can't believe I've been off for 7 months already! Time flies. But I'm ready to get back into the swing of things!

Today we celebrated Mya's 3rd birthday. Everyone had a great time! Food was really good as usual. I'm still stuffed! Nathan is back to normal...he was only sick that one day (for about 12 hours) and then it was completely gone.

Sick

Nathan woke up yesterday with a fever of 101. He also threw up a couple of times. I took him to the clinic and his ear and throat were red so he's on antibiotics now. He hardly ate, was really quiet and slept through most of the day.

This morning though he's up early with no fever and seems to be his usual self. He's already had some toast for breakfast. Hopefully whatever he had has passed.

All our goldfish (about 7 or 8 of them) died except one. Poor guy, he's on his own now so we transferred him to a smaller tank. Andrew has named him "Sam". I think the other fish got Ick...they were kind of fuzzy. When Nathan saw the fish tank and the dead fish, he said "Oh Oh!" He knew something wasn't right with those fish. Not sure if we're going to buy any more. We may take a little break from the fish for a bit.

Andrew had fun at school today. They had a jumping castle there for the kids. Last week they had a couple of firemen bring their fire trucks to the school! Miss Shelley said Andrew was VERY excited! He's been having alot of fun lately...but "summer camp" ends this Friday.

I took Nathan to the mall for a bit this afternoon, then did some grocery shopping. He hates shopping now...he gives me about 5 minutes in a store before he starts screaming or straightening his body in the stroller. Once in awhile I'll catch him in a good mood and I can get a bit more time out of him. He screamed so loud and suddenly at the grocery store the other day, I thought the produce guy was going to have a heart attack.

Joan's corn roast

We had a busy weekend.
Friday night we stayed over at Grammie and Grandpa's house. They had just come back from a vacation in the east coast. Saturday was Aunt Joan's corn roast. They had a snow cone machine, cotton candy machine and a dunk tank for the kids. Rachelle just got a pot belly pig so that was an attraction as well! Everyone had a good time. Andrew was tired in the afternoon so he had a nice long nap on a lawn chair. He stayed up really late and made it right through till the end of the party. Nathan fell asleep on Grammie's lap. We stayed overnight at Cam's cottage hoping that the weather would be nice today...but it wasn't so we came home early this afternoon.

Not much happening this week....went to visit Papa and Grandma on Tuesday. Jackie was there with Selena and Mya. We went for a quick swim while Nathan and Grandma walked around the pool. Nathan doesn't like the water as much as Andrew.

Last night I went out for dinner with a couple of friends. Andrew screamed out of his bedroom window "mommy don't go!!". But Bob said he was fine after 5 minutes. He even did number 2 on the toilet while I was out! This is 4 times in a row now that he's gone in the toilet...we could finally be getting the hang of things!

Mike and Rachelle left this morning. It was nice having them around...they're good babysitters...they occupied the kids most of the time! Andrew and Nathan had alot of fun with them. Yesterday we went to the flea market, then to the mall. Bob and Mike went to see Talladega Nights (they said the best parts are in the trailer). Then they rented a couple movies last night. Mike rented "Freddy got Fingered"...he loves that movie. Shows you the sense of humour he has.

Bob took Mike and Rachelle to Wakestock (Centre Island) today. After they got home we took a walk to the park and then played some road hockey. They are going to stay overnight.

Wonderland

Today we went to Wonderland! We brought along our neighbour Maddie to keep Andrew company and Nathan stayed with Grandma and Papa. Andrew loved all the rides. The line ups weren't too bad...the longest we waited was for the Scooby Doo Haunted Mansion. We waited an hour for that one (wasn't worth it in my opinion)...I can't believe Andrew actually waited an hour in a line up! The other rides were about a 10 minute wait. Andrew went on his first real roller coaster...the Ghoster Coaster. I thought for sure he'd be crying when he got off that one but he actually enjoyed it! Bob said he was screaming after the first hill but he said later that he wasn't scared, he was just copying everyone else. It was a fun day.

Weekend....

Saturday night we had dinner at our next door neighbour's house. The four boys played really well together which was surprising! We all got to enjoy our dinner...that was nice.

Sunday we decided to paint the family room. The ugly bookshelf border is now gone! Room looks really nice. Now we are working on putting ceramic tile down in our bathroom and the kid's bathroom.

Today we went to Whittamore's farm. Andrew and Nathan enjoyed the bouncy barn and the hayride.

Cottage

We got back from the cottage yesterday. It was fun! Pretty good weather except for Wednesday. The kids had alot of fun...we went swimming everyday! They were good...they had their regular naps everyday and slept well at night. Andrew had a bit of a breakdown on Monday night and screamed that he wanted to go home...he cried himself to sleep and was fine the next morning. Sometimes it was hard to keep up with Nathan though..he ran around everywhere and made us nervous around the water. He slipped in the first day (good thing he had his life jacket on). Sue, Drew and Lauren came up for a couple of nights. It was good to spend some time with them.

Congratulations to Jody! She had a baby girl (Avery....8lbs 12 oz) last night after about 17 hours of labour..ended up having a c-section. She had a really rough time! But baby is doing well and Jody is resting now.
