Nathan had a great idea this morning....stick your face in your bowl of Cheerios!

Yesterday I got a call from daycare saying that Andrew had a fever. I picked him up around 1:00 and gave him some Advil. By the evening, the fever was gone and he was back to normal playing outside with the neighbours! Today he was fine.
Busy day today...went to the flea market in the morning, then went for a swim at the neighbours house, then we had some friends over for a bbq. Sue and Drew brought over the new baby...she's 4 weeks old.

First soccer game!

Tonight Andrew played his first soccer game! He did well, lots of chasing the ball around. After his first shift he said "I want it to be finished now". I think he said that after each of his shifts....but he lasted the whole game. A couple kids from his daycare are on the same team which is nice.
That last picture was taken when the game was finished...he was the happiest then! But he says he wants to go back next week.

Thanks to the Doyon's for hosting a fantastic barbeque today! It rained like crazy on our drive over but by the time we got there, it had stopped. It rained a little on and off but we ate outside which was nice...and we ate...and ate...and ate.
Got home and I had some corn on the cob...delicious!

Andrew is ready to play!

This morning Andrew met his soccer coaches and team. The kids all picked up their uniforms...shirt, shorts, socks and a soccer ball. He saw some kids from daycare on the other teams. His first game is Tuesday at 6:30.

This afternoon we went to our friends Keith and Cindy's for a bbq. They have a pool and a hot tub. It was too cold to swim in the pool so the kids went for a hot tub instead. They have a daughter who is 2 months older than Andrew so they got along really well.

Yesterday Andrew kept saying that he wanted to go to the park to meet his friend from daycare. His name is also Andrew. I said "how do you know he's going to be there?" He said that Andrew told him to meet him there after supper. So as soon as he finished his dinner, he said he had to go to the park! We walk to the park and sure enough, there's his friend Andrew. His mom said they must have made plans at school to meet there after dinner! Too funny. She said that last week her Andrew waited and waited for our Andrew to meet him...well our Andrew never mentioned going to the park so her Andrew was almost in tears because our Andrew never showed up. I would love to hear their conversation at school.

Long Weekend!

We were busy this weekend. Friday night we had our neighbours and their kids over. Saturday we were up at our friend Cam's cottage all day. Saturday night we slept at Bob's parents house, then Sunday we went to visit Bob's parents up at their trailer. Today we went to see Uncle Gary's new car...very nice! I got to take it out for a little drive. It's alot more roomy than I thought.

The boys sure love the outdoors. Sunday was cold and windy but they don't feel it...I sure did! I stayed in the trailer with the heater on most of the time. Andrew is becoming quite the fisherman. He loved to sit there and wait for the fish to bite. It didn't take long, there were lots of hungry sunfish in the water!

Happy Mother's Day!

Today we went to Grandma and Papa's for dinner. We got there early to go for a swim and hot tub! The kids had alot of fun.
We missed Aunt Jackie, Selena, Mya and Jacob though. Unfortunately they couldn't make it because the two girls had an eye infection.

We got to see first hand how much Julia loves chocolate cake. Wow!

Andrew got up and went downstairs on his own again this morning! My days of sleeping in until 7:30 are just around the corner...I can feel it.

Went to the Stouffville flea market this morning. It was pretty good. Spent most of our time eating. Afterwards we popped in to see some friends who live in the area.

Cleaned up around the house today. Bob accomplished a huge job...cleaning our windows inside and out. I didn't want to watch him on that ladder! Scary. Nathan was yelling "don't fall daddy!" Maybe next year we'll pay someone to do it.

We had a good day today. It got off to a very good start by Andrew and Nathan getting up this morning, going downstairs together (without coming into our room and waking us up by yelling "come downstairs mommy!!"), turning on the television and playing together as civilized siblings!! Definately a break through....

By 8:30 this morning we were on the bikes riding around the neighbourhood. Found a couple of garage sales and ended up buying a few toys. Nathan (being the garage lover that he is) found his dream toy....a double garage with electric doors. Plus it came with a garage door opener (it's light sensored). That kept him busy for most of the day! For Andrew we found a box full of Lego for $3.00...can't beat that. Even Bob bought a couple of things.

Grammie and Grandpa came over in the afternoon and stayed for dinner. Uncle Kirk, Aunt Jackie and Steven also came by. Happy Birthday Grandpa!
